A Day for Plaid
Color of the day: Blue
Incense of the day: Sage
September always puts me in a “plaid” mood. Perhaps it is because, in all my elementary school years, I always wore plaid on the first day of school. The pattern of plaid also gives me comfort—the weave reminds me of interconnectedness. Why not celebrate with a picnic, indoors or outdoors, on a plaid blanket? Wear plaid. Lie on a plaid couch to read a book (maybe it has a plaid cover). Celebrate your plaid curtains. Do a bit of research and see if you have a clan tartan in your lineage—and learn the meaning behind it. Celebrate the pattern of the fabric as a symbol of the patterns in your life.
