Cider and Spice Protection Spell

Color of the day: Ivory
Incense of the day: Clary sage

In a small saucepan combine one cup of cider, one stick of cinnamon, and nine whole cloves. Heat until the mixture is warm and fragrant. Remove from the heat, let cool slightly, and stir clockwise while saying: “Cider strengthen me, cinnamon protect me, clove cleanse me.” Pour the potion into an earthenware bowl. After dark, pour the mixture around the garden or home. Speak this charm:

I have brewed this potion With my hand,
To protect my home
And my land.
No dark spirits
Shall dwell in this place,
For I have blessed
Every crevice and space.
Any friend who comes,
Night or day,
Shall be welcomed
To sit and stay.
But no foe
Shall darken my door,
Today, tomorrow,
Or forever more.

When you’ve finished, press the cinnamon stick and cloves into the earth.
